How does DM send secure e-mails to you, and how can you send highly secure e-mails to DM? Send a message securely to DM.
Secure e-mails from DM to you
E-mails to and from DM will automatically be secured with TLS-encryption along the way, if your e-mail provider supports this function (which almost all do). If you have an e-mail address from a professional provider, (Gmail, Hotmail, Microsoft (for example outlook.dk), Apple, Danish telephone and cable providers, etc.), or use your work e-mail, your message will be secure.
TLS-encryption is considered to be sufficient for most e-mails between you and DM that include personal data. If the material we send to you includes your CPR number, health information, or other personal data that we consider especially sensitive, then we will secure the e-mail even further. If we communicate with you through your work e-mail, this can be a part of the secure e-mail infrastructure, and therefore is sufficiently secured.
If we communicate particularly sensitive personal data with you through your private e-mail, DM will provide the necessary degree of security through a “send securely” function.
You will receive:
- An e-mail with the title “Secure E-Mail from DM” containing a link
- “Link to Secure E-Mail”
- An SMS with a login code
- Click the link in the mail and insert the code from the SMS in the dialogue box on the webpage.
- Read the e-mail and potential attachments
- Respond to the e-mail immediately or activate the link later, and insert the login code again to reply
- Possibly take the opportunity to download and save the e-mail, or print it.
The above also applies if DM sends your personal data to, for example, your employer or union representative.
Secure e-mails to DM from you
As a member, you might need to send your personal data to DM. We prefer that you send them in digital form through e-mail with or without attachments. You decide for yourself if you want to protect your personal data along the way to DM, but we encourage you to send your personal data securely.
If you have an e-mail address from a professional provider, (Gmail, Hotmail, Microsoft (for example outlook.dk), Apple, Danish telephone and cable providers, etc.), or use your work e-mail, then your messages to and from DM will automatically be secured with TLS-encryption, which is considered to be sufficient for the majority of personal data.
If the e-mail you are sending to DM includes your CPR number, health information, or other personal data that you consider especially sensitive, you should secure the e-mail further. Some work e-mails have a “send securely” function that you can use.
If your work e-mail does not have a “send securely” function, or you do not want to use your work e-mail for the correspondence, it will be easiest for you to use DM’s “send securely” function below, which offers a higher degree of security. Please write what the message concerns and possibly the recipient’s name in the subject line. If you provide your telephone number, you can receive a code via SMS, so you can login afterwards and see potential responses and attachments from DM.
