Before starting a PhD
Before embarking on a PhD program, it is a good idea to consider your career opportunities. What will you use your PhD degree for? Does your PhD degree limit you in terms of your future job opportunities, or does it enhance your chances of landing your dream job?
Terms of employment for PhDs
If you are both enrolled and employed at a university, you follow the Executive Order on PhD in relation to the programme itself. Your employment is governed by the Akademikerne/AC collective agreement
During your PhD education
If you wish to achieve a PhD degree, you must complete formal training, which is governed by the Executive Order on PhD. This states, amongst others, what the PhD contains, provides information on supervisor and supervision, the role of the review committee, the dissertation per se and the defence.
